Our Mission

Juno’s Journey Home Foundation rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes animals while educating the community on responsible care, compassion, and advocacy to create lasting change in our communities. We are aiming to not only change the lives of the animals, but the people that adopt from us and the people within our community.

We founded JJHF to honor the life of Juno, and to keep her legacy alive. Juno was a one-of-a-kind soul and brought joy to every single person and animal she ever met. She would provide comfort through hard times, and she was a friend to all.

In her younger years, Juno experienced a tremendous amount of hardship. As much as I would like to share her past, I do not want to dwell on the sad times; all I will say is that Juno and her brother were victims of domestic abuse and she was the only one that made it out.

My name is Sher, and I had the honor of being Juno's person until her very last breath. She was 3 when we met and was the first dog of my own! Juno helped me rescue countless dogs and cats and would help care for them through their rehabilitations, bottle feedings, and would give them endless love and affection through their vulnerable moments. She was a mother to all and helped so many animals live in confidence. It's something I have always been passionate about; Juno loved helping and it made her happy, so it became a team effort.

After losing Juno in August of 2025, my family and I came together to officially create an animal rescue because she truly was that special to us. I realized that it wasn't just my passion, but it was my calling to rescue.

Juno will live on forever, not only in our hearts, but in the many animals that get to have a second chance at life.

Welcome to Juno's Journey Home Foundation! Thank you for being here.
